What Is the Difference Between an iPhone and a Smartphone?
Compatibility
An iPhone user needs a Mac OS or a Windows based computer and
iTunes account mandatory. The mostly smartphones available on market its does
not requires computer to set up phones.
Applications
An Apple has own
application store so user can download multiple and thousands of application
for user and also provide multiple tools for iPhone apps that is totally free
for iPhone's users. Other smartphones are not providing that kind of store for
user and download only compatible application which is supported only for
device. An Apple also provide some video for users, How to use software or
application with guidelines.
Hardware
The iPhone and Smartphones are providing different hardware
and battery. iPhone support good Battery other than Smartphones and iPhone also
maintain good compatible hand screen size which is compatible for all users and
memory size, storage capacity and also memory card. A slot for external memory
is a common features on other smartphones.
Operating System
The iPhone runs the iOS operating system, or OS. Other smartphone
operating systems include Android, Blackberry, Symbian and Windows. The iOS
runs solely on the iPhone, while other operating systems, such as Android, are
available on multiple brands of cellphones. The iOS includes multitasking,
folders and tethering that allows other devices to share the phone’s Internet
connection, but similar features are available with other mobile operating
systems as well. One difference is that although iOS can be “hacked,” it
doesn’t allow the same level of customization and programming as the systems
that run other smartphones.
Cost
Defiantly cost are different when iPhone and smartphones has
different Hardware, operating system, compatibility and all that things. iPhone's
is more costly than other smartphones which are available on Market. Defiantly
if iPhone is provide good and better functionality other than smartphones and
user getting advantages from iPhone other than smartphones so that why cost is
high.
